According to the Vedic scriptures, the positions of the planets at the time of birth reflect the results of one’s past karmas. The grahas (planets) act as cosmic agents delivering the fruits of these karmas in different areas of life such as health, wealth, relationships, career, and spiritual growth.

When certain planets are afflicted or weak in the horoscope, they may create obstacles, delays, or difficulties in life. The sages of the Vedic tradition have therefore prescribed various remedies such as mantra japa, charity (dāna), vrata (spiritual vows), temple worship, and specific rituals to pacify the planets and invoke divine blessings.

These remedies, when performed with sincerity and proper guidance, help reduce negative influences, strengthen beneficial planetary energies, and bring greater harmony, clarity, and progress in life.
